Service Description

Deep tissue massage is just that--massage which focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. It can be helpful for chronic pain in very stiff areas, such as the neck and shoulders. The strokes are similar to those used in Swedish massage, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated. Clients often report sensations similar to those of a good workout after receiving deep tissue massage. Good client/therapist communication during the session will minimize discomfort, as will proper hydration and post-session gentle stretching.
